The Foundational Overview

 ITS provides a streamlined introduction to the CCUS regulatory landscape. Our general awareness curriculum demystifies the EPA Class VI permitting process, outlining the essential requirements for site characterization, injection compliance, and long-term storage liability. This training is designed to give non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams a clear understanding of the federal framework governing Carbon Capture projects.

Well Integrity & Servicing (Focus: Operational & Mechanical)

  • Material Science & Integrity Management: ITS addresses the unique mechanical integrity challenges posed by dense-phase and supercritical CO₂ environments. Our Well Integrity track provides critical instruction on metallurgy selection (CRA vs. Carbon Steel), corrosion rates in wet CO₂ environments, and elastomer compatibility (explosive decompression/swelling). We train well engineers to design zonal isolation barriers that withstand the extreme thermal cycling and acidic degradation potential inherent to long-term injection wells.
  • Workover & Intervention Operations: This curriculum focuses on the execution of safe well servicing and intervention in CO₂ inventory wells. Distinct from standard oilfield practices, ITS training covers hydrate management strategies, thermodynamic behaviors during venting/bleed-off (Joule-Thomson cooling effects), and specific barrier verification protocols for Class VI wells. We prepare Well Site Managers to execute workovers that maintain annular pressure equilibrium and ensure packer integrity under transient thermal loads.

The "Full Lifecycle"

ITS drives the advancement of global geothermal guidelines through rigorous, data-driven training. Supporting the rapid deployment of AGS (Closed-Loop) and EGS technologies, we provide simulator-integrated coursework that models complex drilling scenarios, including thermal cycling and managed pressure requirements. We equip drilling engineers and site managers with the technical protocols necessary to standardize operations for both deep-power generation and shallow Geo-Exchange systems.
